Timneh African Greys  $800 Only one left. DNA'D Male

Should I buy a Timneh or a Congo African Grey?  That depends largely on your budget and your family situation.  Both birds make excellent pets - both are intelligent and can learn complex behaviors.  They are also both proficient talkers.  However, the Timneh is less expensive than the Congo and tends to be a better family bird, able to accept many people as part of the flock, and he is more apt to accept changes in the home.

 

 

Peggy and her husband did a terrific job of raising my new Timneh African Grey. I met Scooter and his 2 clutchmates in Peggy's bird room, which is clean and filled with many happy birds. Peggy spent almost 2 hours with me as I chose my bird. Scooter had been handled a lot, knows step-up and step-down, and is very outgoing with strangers. He was also raised around dogs, which was a plus, as he has no problem with our pack. Our avian vet pronounced Scooter very healthy and extremely well-adjusted.

Four Fischer's Lovebirds.  One is a yellow dna'd male band GAF054 and hatched Sept. 22, 07 for $65.  The other three are not dna sexed.  Two are normal fischer's (GAF055 hatched 9/23/07 and GAF056 hatched 9/25/07) and one is dilute green (GAF057 hatched 9/27/07) for $45 each.  These birds were hand fed but are not tame now and would make beautiful breeders.
